Bethany Tap (she/her) grew up as an over-achieving and chronically-anxious oldest daughter in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While she no longer ascribes to the tenets of her religious upbringing, her ethos toward harm-reduction and her progressive values stem from the belief that we should all love our neighbors and be good stewards of our planet.
She received her MFA from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, during which time she married her wife. Love for family and the Midwest brought them back to raise their four children.
A poet and storyteller, her work has been published in Litmosphere, Fahmidan Journal, Yellow Arrow Journal, and Anodyne Magazine, among others.
By day, she helps run her family’s manufacturing company. In addition to writing, she enjoys cooking vegan meals, singing, and, of course, reading.
